Natural Heritage

There is a growing demand for water based recreation around Northern Ireland’s coast, IMG_8948particularly along the famous Causeway Coastal Route. At present tours and recreation provide little information on the various natural and built heritage features along the tour routes – specifically the area’s geology, biodiversity, wildlife, myths, landscapes, built and cultural heritage.

The World Heritage Site Team at the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust hope to compile some helpful information for sea-based activity providers to use to enhance the quality, factual accuracy and customer enjoyment of the Causeway Coast. The stunning and dramatic scenery throughout the area makes it stand out, but much of the beauty is inaccessible by land.IMG_8980

In order to begin creating a guide first we need to know what information/content you already provide and what information you would find helpful so we have created a short questionnaire which can be downloaded at the following link:

Coastal Guide for Recreation Questionnaire

If there is anyone else who you think would wish to do the same, please pass on this information.
