UNESCO require the WHS Manager to undertake a Perodic Reporting exercise every six years. Periodic Reporting involves an online questionnaire pre-filled with relevant information from the official records. This exercise was completed in 2013 by the WHS Manager and NIEA on behalf of the State Party, Department for Culture, Media & Sport; DCMS.
The National Trust site manage the most of the terrestrial part of the WHS. 2012 saw the opening of world class visitor center facilities at the site and an upgrade in interpretation and trails throughout the site.
